I was impressed with her as a suffragette and vehemently against being dissected by lesser men who thought me uppity, or trying to be manly. I was a "Tom Girl"...skater, dissecting video games instead. Elizabeth Blackwell was a woman I thought of as a suffragette I was raised to be. One of my favorite memes growing up was "Women who strive to be equal to men, lack ambition!" I don't believe this was a secret in my Navy days. I was frustrated because I wasn't looking to be the first of anything, but a way to help my crew realize their dreams. We brainstormed long and hard while working on those P-3s.
As it turned out, our folks were piddled on from a very GREAT height.
