"Wow! U should write/publish those stories!" they said. "What for? What's the point?" I was observant, but didn't know it was a BFD to integrate a Levittown. I'm tasked to kick butts in life somehow, as my daughter is meant to kick mine. It's a blog/social experiment ..interrupted, unedited and mostly written half asleep. Xanadu Grid is finally in work and I hope to get funded and employ some talented nerds Gamifying the metaverse for education. It's important! (/me points to PayPal Button)

Don McLean - Vincent ( Starry, Starry Night) With Lyrics
By the time this song came out, we'd been all over the Smithsonian
and by '84, only posers were still into sunflowers and waterlillies.
This song was extra points on elementary school tests!
In Buckingham, it was like... OK, the gym teacher, Mr. Melzer will do!
Then
came a girl from Switzerland, off a mountain kicking his happy butt all
over the playground. I think he tricked me into breaking a record....
....my
dad bitched about my German grandma, but nobody told me we were talking
BAVARIA! The girl right off the mountain could run from here to
Kingdom Come.
I threw things real far.... horseshoes, shots, discs, rocks, snowballs...
by the time I got to the Navy, I could launch a 30-pound desk chair at a marine with NO problem....
If I'm laughing at you, it could be that I'd already checked
and there weren't any around......handy.
What
pissed off some Levittowners, was that it took YEARS of playing hooky
to the Smithsonian, hacking the school's attendance records before we
could just hang one on the wall!
I swear, there's a distinction.....
For my big brother,
who didn't have to translate the song when I was 8.
We agreed it was ridiculous to name a beautiful baby boy
born Ben Franklin's Birthday....
"Vincent DePaul!"
My father was not in a mixed marriage as may have been suspected.
Mother may have been mistaken for Italian when we integrated Levittown @ Belair. (smdh)
I think my response was "We're DOOMED" since I was named after DaVinci's teacher....and aparently "Destined for Greatness"
(never mess a little head up with that mess....seriously, just..
Sadly, my beautiful mind makes more logical sense than his.
It's sad to see a boomer go down in flames like that....
*cough*
He's so freakin' LINEAR!
I'm fin-ta git downright belligerent.
after 10pm
....the album continues on to a song that says, "Everybody Loves Me Baby, What's the matter with you?"
Oh, the chagrin!
We battled all the time... being 7 years younger,
oh just pick a sitcom ...we were the upttity negroes nobody wanted around
in living color.
Their TV's LIED! There were NO "black" people!
My older brother and sister couldn't get darker than Freddie Prinze or Ricardo Mantelban ..on a good day with black afros....
I was a little brown giinger, and we probably ALL would have kicked Danny Partridge's ass.
Flying Pile driver at recess!
He was like.... did the tree thing and they called him "Dick Tracy" by the time he tried to be a Sigma.
Grandad was clearly an Alpha...
I'm flat footed, but I'm not sure about my sea-legs.
...I know I'm no bloomin' land-lubber!
(read, corporate plantation air pirate)
LINE OF SIGHT!
And I don't care how nearsighted I am.
My eyes are recovering, so yaaay...not farsighted.
And to think,
By age 49, I could be getting payouts for the faulty knee/hip/ankle replacements
I never got at the VA or *insurance
for the past how many years is that?
23, 5, 30 or 42 years?
I wouldn't want to be accused of cashing in on the wrong pre-existing condition.
by my count, This POTUS was invited to my homework when he decided to see what was holding up Chicago!
yeah... CONGRESS
I voted my proxy, right?
I used to have a Dad and a brother for that.
Sooo.... how about the used-to-haves before we start
bringing in our fleets for their Bounties?
They've breached a breached contract
we've lost count... oh wait..
And here I am, squirreled away by Chappelle Show 2004 doing Tiger Woods...
And I'm hankerin' for 'Undercover Brother".
Don McLean DID make us dance, but more than that,
he got us thinking, and laughing our asses off.
Apparently, big asses were a distraction....
*cough*
We carried this right to the Sweathog classroom
I loved that Hair Bear Bunch!
But I still didn't know about olive oil!
after that I got pulled over catching air on the 14th street bridge....
I was on the way home from one of 3 jobs, 15 hours of school and band rehearsals.
I just saw Fame 2 for the first time, awhile back.
Facts repeat themselves.
It wouldn't be so funny if I weren't watching Dave Chappelle doing "Black Bush"....
I'm dyin' over here....
When I get around to playing the dozens with my big brother again...
I'll be armed with our cousin Howard's booklet called
"You Ain't thuh Man Yuh Mamma Wuz", but that's a jacked up thing to say to one's own actual brother soooo..
The "No Mother's" Rule, will be strictly enforced...
even if she DID like me best.
nyaaaaah
3RDEYEGIRL - Let's Go Crazy (Manchester, UK - Feb 22, 2014)
Ain't no elevator in this building any ol' way!
Why does Slash have an Army?
Hey Slash!
OK, I still don't know if Slash is kin to my cousin Billie Marie Hudson of Peabody, KS, but my radio went off after "And Justice for All" when I was stationed at NAS Jax. They called the cease fire while I was in surgery... a C-section on 2/27/91. CNN by day, Improv at home, happy fuzzy rainbows and Enya, Mozart, and I'd quit smoking..
Metal was NOT on the menu!
My BFF was at FAA so the phone bill was an issue......*cough*
(Squirreled off to smack Jon Stewart who is talking about Kansas Freudians... smdh)
The Hopewell was a ship that had been commanded by the famous Capt Henry Hudson on some earlier voyages, but on the voyage to America in 1632, it was not Capt Henry Hudson at the helm. This voyage produced a passenger list that was particularly interesting as the vast majority of the passengers were children. They were mostly young and our ancestor was amongst them. His name was Foster and he was only 14 years of age and was not accompanied by an adult. In fact most of these children where unaccompanied. At first I thought they must be children of earlier arrivals, but then I came across some interesting reading materials on old London town. It seems, the upper class in London was getting very frustrated with the many street children running loose in London. They began arresting them for almost anything and they stood trial. I read of one such child being hung for stealing a loaf of bread. Most were chosen to be shipped off to America to be adopted by colonists who had already lost their own children to the hardships of the frontier or who wanted nothing more than slaves. John Foster, our ancestor was on such a ship at the age of 14 and he was alone. I believe he was not adopted as he grew up with the foster name.

Exhaustion/Frustratrion
At some point, will fill in on the frustration and dissapointment associated with being ones own
boss/healer/teacher/....for lack of others with that kind of bandwidth.
Thank goodness I was taught HOW to learn was more important than WHAT to learn.
God bless critical thinking skills..
Project management SNAFUs abound

When one of my Bob's are AFK, ibabble it's math for me.
I asked around, and found out why I'm confused with "Arcadia". I think she owned a fab venue for lightworkers. She sang the Buddhist sutras and crafted lovely crystal steam baths. I'd offered to help her since she was overworked. We were praying for Dad when he went into hospice. The morons knew I had no real job, so I didn't want to stress out Dad while he was fighting cancer for the 4th time. My sister is still a jacked up individual...and my sister in law can't give me Whitney tech support voice when I outrank her insurance dealing ass. They sliced him up good in the surgery she announced, and thinks I didn't pray for him. I told her I was profoundly disappointed in her, for not taking better care of him and letting him get hooked on Glenn Beck
[8:19:37] muzebl: Too many liars here, leading me on, but I don't feel safe with where cynics and posers go with their fears when they check my genealogy research and say words that scare people because they fear I'm evil. I'm not evil, I'm an avionics technician. (swivel heads have great peripheral acuity) And I have quite a sharp BS-o-meter. I think I really need to be an expat where disenfranchised nobles can just talk about the 1600s, or 1066 like it was yesterday, instead of the butthurt masses jealous of those who can count that far back. It's a fascinating story! Who wouldn't want to write it?
[8:27:27] muzebl: I've had a strategy to deal with these things. I need to know more than most people to achieve my goals, and I'm rarely satisfied until someone in the REAL knowing of things, has the creds to say I've reached a milestone... I tend to dismiss the raves and compliments of tone deaf people in regards to my skills. So when my FATHER said I'm a systems analyst, he really didn't know how far I carried the skills into my life. I'm was an empathetic child BEFORE I learned customer service. So, I met someone who wants to teach me Scottish and sail up and down the coast for a week. It's only 500$! But... this IS the porn capitol of the country, thanks to Ron Jeremy's club... sigh.. funny as hell! Harley biker, funny as hell.... gave me a prop dabloon at one of the many shopping centers near here. You would hate it with a purple passion..
[8:32:37] muzebl: It's sad really.. just like Levittown. If you know the album "American Pie" .. and learn the codes of it, the song has so little to do with Buddy Holly, I'm working on the bits we talked about when we were growing up on it. We lost Casey Casem from the American Top 40 show... he laid out the hits and the amazing stories behind them .. the best history teacher ...now that I think about it. Of course we take it for granted. That's the point of multicultural education. I bother you because I need to know who I am, and what to build on my true foundation.
[8:50:15] muzebl: The Bible can be simple, as it was taught to me. Douay Rheims for those who are too conservative, KJV for when things get too liberal.. so here we are, and Rome's burning AGAIN! I didn't give a fuzzy rat's ass about most of the crap they were droning us, but I learned a bit too late how to fly UNDER the RADAR .. so I had to fly into it. These people are really easy to distract... But yeah, we were not raised to talk much about how I noticed Grandma looked a lot like George Washington. Yeah, it was back iin our little buddy days when it was just the two of us.. hanging around the Smithsonian and his frustration with my taking in what I needed to know, not dates and such. I needed to know how the events related to each other on a global scale. The DC area was known to have been laid out by a Mason Lafayette. well, he was Moorish. That's why I don't belong here. I was raised to be a global citizen. That's why I was interested in UNESCO, but they made some horrendous decisions. What, still butthurt over the Taj Mahal? I'd like to see the Hope Diamond repatriated ... with a great deal of pomp and circumstance.. and I don't care if we've been looking at a copy. That's just one example of outstanding quality we've admired no matter what it's made of. They probably have plenty of footage of me gazing at the thing on one of my unauthorized field trips... I took to playing hooky at the Smithsonian when they took mother's survival benefits.. Loyola was out. West Pointe Military academy came sniffing around, but I only wanted to know how well I'd do in the little Olympics they threw for us to see how much we'd worked to qualify for the Space Race.

American Pie notes
The Beatles had problems in Jacksonville, FL as did Metallica in 1988
(Bible belt...go figure tornado alley)
My Levittown / Levy-town was outside of DC
When Mother passed on Feb 1, 1969, there was a great deal of buzz
and it pointed to not Dad's agency, but someone who wanted to keep us
out of politics. MLK's widow, Malcolm's widow.....
The Sacred Heart Church community came out in droves when Mother passed.
Our neighbors loved her fiercely, but many were jealous and thought we were planted there because Dad earned his master's in Political Science in the 50s at George Washington University but he took a left at the light, to Ft. Meade after serving in the Navy as a corpsman (Class of 49 from Lincoln High in Kansas City)
The patch says "Leaders" backwards and pronounce
"Rey-dels". (For Deltas?) I'm missing the
yearbook now. *sigh*

Category: Expedition, sailed 1635
Categories: Great Migration Ships<-- Grandady's Pin it was really tiny and also last seen in Oregon..
Before Dad passed, he told me to check shipping routes and businesses.
The records were eked out to the web, but it's been a long time since I've had an account with ancestry, so I'm remembering some old conversations in the National Archives.
Expedition, sailed 1635
The Expedition, Master Blackwell, sailed 1635, departing London, England, arriving Barbadoes.
"20 Novembris 1635
Theis under-written names are to be transported to the Barbadoes imbarqued in the Expedition Peter Blackwell Mr. The Men have taken the oaths of Allegeance & Supremacie: And have been examined by the Minister of the Towne of Gravesend touching their Conformitie to the ordrs & discipline of the Church of England die et Ao prd."
*I thought there was a crewman named Blackwell on the 1635 True Love
So, this takes us to where
And we're still at 42
yay, GOD!Mother's nickname was MIMI, not Mina!
Elizabeth Blackwell was the first female doctor.
I rather scoffed at the UK cheater, but rather put off by the Grim stories slandering women of science.
I was teased as a cheater for reading too young.
What interested me in the ERA days, was her role as a suffragette! I was happy that subject was covered. ((shudder))
As it turns out by what I've read so far.... she and I were far too alike. I always rejected Freud as a perv....and after awhile it was ridiculous to apply it to a scientific mind.
At Ocean City,MD "Macho 1"= "Mach One" the name of a Latin band in DC '84? Ahhh hair gel and PINBALL. Post Rio Perm, pre-curl with pink lightning strike. My mallrat days and dancing salsa on the beach!
Oh yeah... my boyfriend couldn't go, and I didn't want to be bothered. We were practicing for something and after practicing "Ice Cream Castles", the Korg blew a fuse and I couldn't play the gig! grumble... I think I even got a speeding ticket on my birthday! We knew of a cousin named "Iron Moccasin"back then. There's a picture somewhere with her hair shaved.... (the rant)

Hey, It's Slash's folks! Grandmother's second husband was a Black/NDN named Foster. She'd dismissed her first when Mother and Uncle Tommy were kids. She let him go and built a home out of two railroad cars! What a BETTY! But she was a happy Golden Girl, so "Dorothy" fits.

HOPEWELL
Grandad was civil service, a shriner and had a news stand.
Lots of "music" died around that time.
What passes for music at any time in history,
.... one's mileage tends to vary,
And this is a GoOD THING!
Even if it's kinda weird,
There is a point of view being expressed.
And the artist is a teacher in this respect..
"Hey, this is what the people you don't know have to say....grumbling..."You ignorant, sod... got me doing this contract work for scraps, when I got better things to.. (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance)
The Jew-fro was a big hit in the day.
"that music" was a nice way to say what bigot's called "n-bomb music"
Elvis and the Beatles were accused of being lovers of the kind of music that challenged them to make people of color dance.
Chances are, if you pulled a Blurred Lines, we'd recognize the acknowledgement and <jump, twirl> or something...
Hand jive was handy....for passing on the "ghetto codes" with discretion.
When we study the history of the real classics,
And do our best to let them know, we know...oeoeo
People really don't know how to read me sometimes,
I'm snarky as hell..yackin' at the ether...
Learning True Lies of the internet makers, trying to build a new world
on the cloud.
I'm a systems analyst and a troubleshooter, people call "overqualified" when NASA wasn't hiring.
And the world has to have a war on something, or it can't get off it's ass to avoid the precipice...like lemmings..
I remember flags NOT lowering for the death of Martin's Queen.
They dropped like flies for the Bobble-head doll....
And I was so FURIOUS for Kiowa country, being denied employment because my resume, if they read it right, says, the unemployable word,
"Brown Female Engineer....yeah, THAT ONE!"
They take me for the "Oracle"
They should have given me the job.
I'm Muze of Arcadia, as it turns out.
People really oughtn't make shrines for people who aren't dead.
And really pissed when I found out I was looking for the Osage, AFTER I left. And figured they would get online eventually. The department of Interior cut NDN nations off the internet. (there was too much truth in it) If you didn't have cable, all they got by air was Fox news. lying to the masses.. but they got more news from the singers on shows like Xfactor..

Who made Jesus a rock star in the first place?
OK, so in 1964, my folks integrated Levittown (Levitt's and Son's tract housing /social experiment/ great "equalizer")
And let's say Cairo was DC and he grew up in the burbs, near the Beltway (Silk road)
And his dad took him around town, doing business, and the pretty eyed, olive skinned, all that lovely olive oil running around. I'll bet his locks were gorgeous!
*cough*
...and he's SO well spoken!
cut to Jesus.. "and so are YOUUUUUUuuuuuu! Well done. Mother, can we GO NOW?"
We have friends who's eyes change colors when ticked off...sooo
Or very reflective off clothing.
Anyway, for music history's sake and future of roadside philosophy,
Here's the homework:
